Armagh Notre Dame

Armagh -Notre Dame competes in the Senior and Junior Football Championships in the Boston North East Division of the NACB. We were established in 1991 and are based out of Brighton Allston & Watertown MA. We always welcome new members, both playing and non-playing.

AND Club Notes - May 10th 2009

Senior/Junior Football

Senior and Junior Training will take place at Daly Field at 630pm on Tuesday and Thursday nights, all players are asked to attend. If any player is unable to attend please contact Robbie Logue 617-549-0643. The first round of the championship begins on Sunday May 24th leaving just 4/5 regular training sessions before the first game it is very important players make all these sessions. See attached 2009 Schedule.

Membership

Membership is due for the current year at $40 and can be paid to Hugh Meehan ( Treasurer) or Bernard McDaid (Ast Treasurer). It is important that all club members are paid up as membership fee is to cover the Cost of player registration and insurance for the incoming year.

Next Club Meeting

The Next Club meeting will be held in the Green Briar on Wednesday May 13th at 630PM, all committee members are expected to attend. If any member is unable to attend please contact Brian McGrath (Secretary) 857-544-6898.


As Always all paid up club members are welcome to attend, if anyone has collected any money owed to the club please bring along and give to the Treasurer.

Registration

The home based deadline expired on Thursday the 30th of April, any players that wish to play for the 2009 season and have not yet registered will need to complete a Sanction form, which can be downloaded from http://www.bostongaa.org/documentation.html . If anyone has any questions regarding registration please contact Sean Butler 617-645-9585. The club was able to register 8 new players for the 2009 season, the new players are very welcome to the club.


Schedule

The 2009 Championship Season kicks of for Armagh Notre Dame on Sunday the 24th of May with our first Senior Game against St Christophers (see attached full schedule). This years Senior Championship will be played on the same format as the 2008 Championship with 11 teams competing for honors. Each club plays 8 regular season games, at the end of the regular season the top 4 teams will enter the Semi finals of the Senior Championship, the next 4 teams enter the Intermediate Semi Finals, and the bottom 3 teams play no further. Junior B will consist of 6 regular season games and then playoffs for top 4 teams.

Club Referees/Umpires/Linesman

As agreed at our 2009 convention all club members are required to umpire/line at least 1 game during the regular season, this schedule will be available this week prepared by Gavin Hall (Vice Chairman). It is a regulation within the North East Division that clubs provide 3 persons for umpires and linesman when notified by the board, failure to attend a designated game results in the club receiving a $300 fine. It is important that all club members participate over the duration of the season.
