Senior/Junior Football

The Seniors had their first game of the season against St Christopher’s on Tuesday night past, following a rescheduling from the game on Sunday due to thunderstorms and lightning. The game was hard hitting as was to be expected and although Armagh Notre Dame produced some good moves and scores in the first half, they trailed by 5pts at half time, having conceded 2 soft goals. Following the restart Armagh Notre Dame got off to a good start bringing the deficit back to 3 pts, however luck was not to be on Armaghs side, with 10 mins remaining St Christopher’s scored a 3rd goal. Although Armagh finished the strongest scoring 1-3 in the last 5 mins, there was still too much to make up and St Christopher’s won the game on the score line of 3-9 to 1-12.
