Armagh -Notre Dame competes in the Senior and Junior Football Championships in the Boston North East Division of the NACB. We were established in 1991 and are based out of Brighton Allston & Watertown MA. We always welcome new members, both playing and non-playing.

Armagh Notre Dame V Galway which was scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday June 30th has been cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.

Senior & Junior Games

Senior Players are asked to Meet this Saturday at 4pm at Kikis, game against Galway is scheduled for 530PM. Players can purchase club shorts and socks for $35. Robbie Logue 617-549-0643

All Junior players are asked to meet at Kikis at 130PM on Sunday for the game against McAnespies on Field B at 3PM. If any player is unable to make the game please contact Cathal Brady 617-645-9585.

Senior/Junior Football

There were no Senior or Junior games last weekend. Both teams are out this weekend, the Seniors against local rivals, Galway on Saturday evening 530PM in Canton, the Junior team is up against the McAnespies on Sunday at 3pm. All Senior players are asked to be at Kiki’s on Saturday at 4PM sharp. The junior team is going to meet at Kiki’s on Sunday at 130PM. The club would like to wish both teams the best of luck at the weekend, and hopefully we can come away with 2 wins. As always there will be food back in the Green Briar for both the Senior and Junior Games. Training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays At Arsenal Field in Watertown.

Membership

Membership is due for the current year at $40 and can be paid to Hugh Meehan ( Treasurer) or Bernard McDaid (Ast Treasurer). It is important that all club members are paid up as membership fee is to cover the Cost of player registration and insurance for the incoming year.

Golf Tournament

This years Golf Tournament is Scheduled to take place on Saturday July 18th at Newton commonwealth, first tee 11AM, cost is $125Per player $500 for Foursome, Hole Sponsor is $100. Complete details will follow shortly. If anyone wants to reserve a Foursome please contact Hugh Meehan 617-312-6713.

Next Club Meeting

The Next Club meeting will be held in the Green Briar on Friday June 26th at 630PM, all committee members are expected to attend. If any member is unable to attend please contact Brian McGrath (Secretary) 857-544-6898. Items to discuss include, Weekly Championship Squares ,Golf tournament, Club trip and Work for summer players and Club merchandise As always all paid up club members are welcome to attend, if anyone has collected any money owed to the club please bring along and give to the Treasurer.

Registration

The home based deadline expired on Thursday the 30th of April, any players that wish to play for the 2009 season and have not yet registered will need to complete a Sanction form, which can be downloaded from http://www.bostongaa.org/documentation.html . If anyone has any questions regarding registration please contact Sean Butler 617-645-9585. Any players that played in the first Senior Game against the Christophers and the Gaels and intend to regrade need to complete a Regrade form which can be downloaded from http://www.bostongaa.org/documentation.html . Forms can also be got from Sean Butler. The Final Deadline for any players to register is Wednesday July 1st , American Born players can continue to register until August 15th.

Summer Players

The Last of the summer players have arrived, with lads from Sligo, Tyrone, Meath, Armagh, Kildare, Antrim, Donegal, Offaly & Limerick, the club would like to welcome all these lads, and hopefully now with the new additions, we can secure our first win of the season this Saturday over Galway.





Sponsorship/Merchandise

As previously mentioned we are interested in any businesses / individuals sponsoring the Senior and Junior teams, they can contact any committe member, we are currently ordering Club Polo shirts from Azzurri and we are looking for 1 or 2 Sponsors. Shorts and Socks have now arrived from Ireland and will be available for any players to purchase from Bernard McDaid, Cost is $35 for Club shorts and Socks.

AND - Club Notes - 14 June 2009

Senior/Junior Football

The Senior team faced up against Connermara Gaels on Sunday past. The Gaels started the brightest scoring 3 points from play before Fergal McClelland level the scoring early in the first half with a well take goal, the move having started in Armagh ND defense. The Gaels not to be out done scored 2 quick goals to lead at Half Time by 6 Points. After the Half Armagh came out the strongest with a well take goal by Darren MaGuire. Unfortunately Connemara Gaels upped the Tempo and ran out convincing winners on a Score line 3-17 2-4. For many of the new players it was there first time playing together, and with the addition of more players from Ireland this week should provide a strong basis for the next game against Galway on Saturday June 27th at 530PM. The Next Junior Game is on Sunday June 28th at 3PM against Aidan McAnespies. raining continues at Arsenal Park in Watertown. Senior/Junior Football

There was no Senior Game over the past 2 weekends, however the Juniors had their opening match to Hartford in the Junior B competition on Sunday on Field B in Canton. Final Score was Hartford 4-11, Armagh 0 -11. Best for Armagh was Colin Bradley scoring 0-3 from Play. The Seniors return this Sunday against Connemara Gaels at 230pm in Canton. All Players are asked to meet at Kikis at 1pm on Sunday. Training Continues every Tuesday & Thursday at Arsenal Park, all players are asked to attend. - Schedule for Junior and Senior Games has been added to Calender at Bottom of Page

The North East Board has launched their new website, with the introduction of Noel Bennett as this years PRO, many of each weekends games are reported on along with pictures.
Summer Players

This week marks the arrival of our first batch of Away based Players 6 this week and a further 6 next week. Obviously we need to get these lads work for the summer. If anyone is interested in hiring any of the footballers or knows of anyone that needs workers please contact a committee member. As Always if anyone has any spare household furniture, AC units, cutlery etc… we can always use in the club apartments.
